Your Thoughts

There are two comments.

I recently purchased a few items at a local auction. One of the items is a water color painting, which is elegantly hand written on the back as follows Painted by the morther of Lambert Tree in 1814 in the 10th year of her age. Subject Elizah fed by the ravens. I found it ironic of Lambert Tree, esq. involvement with housing artist. Randy Wingfield, Jr., Miss, USA

fine building with a care for detail in an Arts & Craft way as befitting its purpose as artists' studio. But I'm biased; Lambert Tree was my great-great-grandfather ( his English resident son Arthur, after a nasty divorce from his wife Ethel Field had six children with his Irish governess, one of whom was my grandmother). I travelled to Chicago in the 80's but wasn't aware of these studios nor the family link so will make a pilgrimage one day or another.
