Quick Facts
Notes
  • Although this building looks like it may have had two additions in its lifetime (one top and one to the west), it only had one. The western annex was added in 1930, razing the Duchess Theater in the process.
Did You Know?
  • When the Commercial National Bank formed and built this building, it was the result of the merger of six other banks.

Your Thoughts

There is one comment.

Shortly after this building was built, it ultimately became a city landmark. The arched window was planned for the entrance to look exactly like an older bank. This was Peoria's 3rd tallest building at the time of it's completion. Today though, it is Peoria's 7th tallest building. Before the Becker Building was built, it was the city's 6th tallest building. Quite a difference today, than in 1926.
