  This rather neglected-looking little building is still active as ComEd's Franklin Street substation, feeding electric power to the Loop 'L' Originally it was part of the Wells Street Terminal complex, which served .suburban trains of the Chicago, Aurora & Elgin Railroad and certain rush-hour trains of the Metropolitan Division of the 'L'.
