I think- I now-know- why they never DEMO'ed this building.....cause it'd take twenty tons of TNT to blow this sucka down....

  The present plaque is actually the second Eastland monument at this location. The original, installed in 1989, was stolen in April 2000. A new plaque, similar in style but differing in detail, was dedicated on July 24, 2003.Photos of the original plaque can be found here::http://www.eastlanddisaster.org/disaster.htm
