Your Thoughts

There is one comment.

There are plans to convert this complex into a mixed-use development on the Chicago River. Two tall 120 Floor towers would be built on the southeast corner top of this building with a 49 Floor Hotel building to the southwest a block away as Phase 2. Phase 1 calls for 10 Floors of Retail Space spanning the Chicago River from the 27 year long vacant land at Harrison and Wells Streets over the Chicago River into this building. If built, the mall would compete with not just Woodfield, but also Mall Of America. Phase 3 calls for 2 towers in part of the vacant land at Harrison and Wells Streets for 2 40 Floor buildings on opposite corners of each other. We will have to see if all these Phases get built, but I hope they do. If I am right, I am guessing that there will be a competition for the 120 Floor towers as what they did for the Trump Tower Chicago (Looks Great), and the Chicago Spire (do't think it will ever get built). This city will have an even larger skyline with these buildings built. The current view of the city goes as far as 311 South Wacker from the Planetarium and going east on I-290 from the West Suburbs.
