There is one comment.
A failed attempt at what was accomplished much more successfully across town at the Ogilvie Transportation Center. At Ogilvie, the passenger entering through Jahn's Citigroup Center has a straight shot to the trains, through a rather impressive escalator atrium leading to the gates or, just off the main line of pedestrian traffic flow, a reasonably attractive booking hall. Here, the rail passenger must enter rather furtively through a block-long side passage in One Financial Place, to Metra ticketing and waiting facilities that are clearly a grudging afterthought. Does this reflect a difference in social status between Metra-UP passengers and Metra-Rock Island District passengers? Why, far be it from me to foment class warfare!
