     The only traditional, almost expected element in Millennium Park is this Millennium Monument. A colonnade made up of doric columns, it is a link to the city's past. A similar structure was erected on this corner in 1917. It was torn down in 1953.

» The Monument rests in Wrigley Square, named for the William Wrigley Junior Company Foundation, which donated $5,000,000.00 toward the construction of Millennium Park.
